Description: 6800 foot elevation. Located on a high cliff the 12 sites,3 of which are tent-only, are sheltered by the canyon walls and the forest. The campground can also accomodate up to 40 campers/6 vehicles in one group site. Short trails lead off into both side canyons, one to the north of the campground and one to the south. Hiking, mountain biking, and horse riding on trails in the area. These may be done as a loop hike, by hiking the dirt road between the ends of both. Scenic views: Maple Canyon Trail features a natural arch along with wildlife viewing. Rock climbers are attracted to this canyon area with towering rock walls and many bolted routes.
